The OK Book

Found this movie on Pintrest.  I read this book every year the first week of school.  I think the message is exactly what every first grader should hear!  I will show the movie after reading the book during the week.  It becomes one of our "old friends" the rest of the year.  Be sure to get the book.  The movie leaves out some pictures from the book.  I think this year we will write a readers response and create a class book about what we are OK in when we try.

Summer Break 1

Hi,
     It is our summer break here and I have been doing this and that.  I wanted to share 2 apps I am currently using.  One is called Aruasma and it is free.  It does amazing things and you will want to check it out this summer and play around with it.

     I started a Pintrest board with many ideas, tutorials etc.  Just click on the picture above.  I posted a bit about how I used it in my classroom at the end of the year.  I only learned about it 2 weeks before school was out.  If you would like to read about it and see what we did click here.

     I just learned about another free app which I just downloaded.  I haven't had time to play around with it yet but it sure looks like it has some great possibilities.  It is called Tiny Tap and you can create your own game very easily with this app.  I look forward to using it in first grade this year.
